Name: Samantha Location: Southern California suburbs with my mother, urban England with my father.
Hey, I'm Touchstone, known to my friends as Sam; but you can call me Touchstone (ha ha ha! Aren't I witty?). I'm a sixteen year old Catholic school girl by day, artist by night. The difference? I take off my itchy polyester uniform. I enjoy writing poetry and short stories, drawing manga (I am incapable of drawing realistically), doodling in margins while I should be paying attention, reading large quantities of books, and philosophizing on the nature of the universe. You're welcome to drop me a line on my website Melpomene and have a look around!

Before I begin my harrowing tale, I would like to inform you of the Blue Screen of Death. Computer buffs and those who live with them (like me), will know that this shows up on your monitor when your computer DIES...or something like that. Well, a few weeks ago that happened, and it completely killed our mother board. I don't know what that is, but it's bad. Luckily none of my hardrive data was lost! Or I would seriously cry.
It took a while for the computer guy at the repair store to fix it, and we had to bring it back once when it continued to act insane. So no, I am not dead! I live! Albeit for about a month without [Adult Swim] Fix, which was quite a strain.
It feels weird using a computer. It's so fast now! A word to the wise-haveing a computer with out of date virus protection is like having unprotected sex. Just don't do it-seriously.
In other news...I took time off from the comp and spent it reading for twelve hours straight a day, which is my idea of a good time. I read like a book a day at some points; it was awesome!
Umm...I saw A Scanner Darkly and Pirates II this month, and the later actually surprised me on how good it was. A lot more funny and well written. The first is a must, though-it's really affecting.
Let's see, what else have I done during electronic death. I've been researching colleges, which is very tiring but rewarding, cause I know more of what I want now. I'm leading towards Bard and Antioch-they sound awesome.
That's about it. Nothing eventful whatsoever. Except next Thursday I'm leaving for Florida, where I get to brave what I call the state retiring home. I'm so mean.
